Delete Your Account

You can delete your Tellby account and the data attached to it at any time — from inside the app, or by email if you no longer have the app installed. You can also delete individual data without deleting your account.

1. Delete your account in the app

1. Open Tellby.
2. Go to My Page (the profile tab, far right).
3. Tap Account.
4. Tap Delete account and confirm once.

Deletion starts immediately. You are signed out and cannot sign in with that account again.

2. Delete your account by email

1. Write to [email protected] from the email address you signed in with — we use the sending address to identify the account.
2. Use the subject “Delete my Tellby account”.

If the address above does not open your mail app, write to humblecmk@gmail.com manually.

We reply and complete the deletion within 30 days.

3. Delete some data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete the whole account to remove things you have made. In the app, open the item and use its delete action. This works for:

• Saved places and saved itineraries
• Curations and audio guides you created
• Trip baskets, itineraries and bookings
• Collected cards and food checklists
• Posts, comments, votes and recorded tracks
• Follows and saved shares

4. What is deleted

When you delete your account we immediately anonymise it — your email, name and picture are removed and you can no longer sign in — and we then delete the underlying records within 30 days. That includes your profile, your saved places and itineraries, the curations and audio guides you made, your messages, your photos, and your location history.

5. What we have to keep, and for how long

Korean law requires us to keep a small set of records after deletion. These are kept for the stated reason only, separated from other information, with access restricted.

• Contract, withdrawal, payment and delivery records — 5 years, required by Korea's E-Commerce Act art. 6 and Framework Act on National Taxes art. 85-3. This includes the store receipt for each purchase, which contains an identifier issued by Apple or Google. Anything beyond what is needed to identify the transaction is pseudonymised.
• Consumer complaint and dispute records — 3 years (E-Commerce Act art. 6).
• Advertising and labelling records — 6 months (E-Commerce Act art. 6).
• Creator earnings and payout records — 5 years, under the same tax rules.
• Consent records — kept after deletion, because their whole purpose is to show that consent was given and when. They hold the notice version, the timestamp and your internal account number, not your name or email.
• Reports and moderation decisions — up to 3 years, so we can recognise repeat behaviour.
• Backups — deleted records can persist in backups for a short period after deletion, and are overwritten on the normal backup cycle.

6. Purchases

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancel them in the App Store or Google Play before you delete the account, otherwise the store keeps charging you.
